Do I need to bring my own LLM API keys?
Yes — Waxell uses your provider keys. You're never charged for tokens by us; you pay your provider directly. This is permanent and by design. We believe observability and governance should be separate from your model costs.
What counts as an "agent execution"?
One agent execution = one top-level agent run. All nested spans, model calls, and tool uses within that run are included at no additional cost. Think of it as one "conversation" between your agent and the world — however many LLM calls it takes to complete. If your agent spawns sub-agents, each sub-agent run counts as its own execution.
What happens if I hit a limit?
Free tiers stop at the cap — no surprise bills, ever. Paid tiers can enable add-ons or overage for additional headroom. We'll alert you at 80% and 100% of your included volume.
What counts as a "seat"?
A human user in your workspace. Agents, connected clients, and MCP upstreams are metered separately — not as seats. Additional seats are $19/month each on Team and Business plans.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade anytime. Changes prorate. Monthly plans have no commitment; cancel anytime. Annual plans are billed upfront with two months free. Enterprise plans have custom terms.
Can I use just one product, or do I need the whole platform?
Use what you need. Many teams start with just Observe or just the MCP Gateway. The platform fee covers access to everything — you only pay usage on the products you actually use. There's no penalty for starting small.
Is there a free trial of paid plans?
Yes — Team and Business offer a trial so you can experience the full platform before committing. Free is available forever with no credit card required.
